Για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία του Champions League θα υπάρξει επανάληψη κλήρωσης μετά το απίστευτο λάθος που έκαναν οι άνθρωποι της UEFA και τις αντιδράσεις όλων των ομάδων.
Η UEFA αποφάσισε να επαναληφθεί η κλήρωση της φάσης των «16» του Champions League, μετά την «γκάφα» που έγινε στη διαδικασία.
Μέσω των social media η UEFA ενημέρωσε πως το λάθος στη διαδικασία οφείλεται σε ένα πρόβλημα του λογισμικού και για τον λόγο αυτό η κλήρωση θα επαναληφθεί, μετά από εκείνη του Europa Conference League, στις 16:00 ώρα Ελλάδος.

Το απίστευτο φιάσκο με το μπαλάκι της Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ στην κλήρωση του Champions League έφερε τα πάνω κάτω στα ζευγάρια.
Το μπάχαλο προέκυψε με ζευγάρωμα της Βιγιαρεάλ με την Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ, που δεν επιτρέπονται καθώς οι δυο τους έχουν παίξει στους φετινούς ομίλους του Champions League.
Έπειτα από πιέσεις των συλλόγων για διόρθωση του λάθους, αποφασίστηκε η επανάληψη της διαδικασίας για τα ζευγάρια της πρώτης φάσης των νοκ-άουτ στις 16:00, ώρα Ελλάδας.
Προφανώς είναι κάτι που δεν έχει συμβεί ποτέ ξανά, ενώ φυσικά δεν ισχύουν τα αρχικά ζευγάρια των «16», στα οποία είχαμε και… μάχη Μέσι με Κριστιάνο.
